ROUND ROCK, TX - April 1, 2009 - The Cedar Park JV Timberwolves traveled to Stony Point Wednesday night for a double-header vs. Stony Point.  The team first faced off against Stony Point’s JV squad and pulled out a solid 6-3 win.  The team then faced the Stony Point varsity team - currently in first place in the Central District DII standings.   This game was originally scheduled as a DII game with the Cedar Park DII team before Cedar Park had to disband their DII team. 

The JV t-wolves plus some of the original DII players from varsity struggled against a tough Stony Point team that had beaten the Cedar Park DI varsity team at the Longhorn Classic tournament in December.  Stony Point gave no quarter and cruised to a shutout win, officially listed at 13-0.  “This was tough for the boys to be shut out,” said Cedar Park JV coach Scott Thompson, “but it was good for them to see the speed of the game when played at the varsity level.  I think this game helped us to grow as a team and has made us stronger.”
