AUSTIN, TX, April 8, 2009 - The Varsity T-wolves traveled to McNeil last night hoping to move into a first place tie with the undefeated Mavericks.  It started out very close with CP in  a 1-1 tie after one period.  McNeil began to pull away though and led 4-3 at halftime.  After the break, McNeil rattled off a few quick goals  and ended the third quarter up 6-4, then broke it open even more in the fourth and ended the game up 9-5.

“I thought we played some of our best lacrosse this year during parts of the first half,” said Cedar Park  Coach Chris Knight after the game, “But sometime in the second half we started losing ground balls and having other little breakdowns.”  Cedar Park gave up four man-down goals including two just before halftime.

Crosse-Currents: Cedar Park (5-6, 3-2) is in a 3-way tie for 4th place in the Central District.  There are five teams with only two district losses.  The top six teams make the playoffs.  The T-wolves travel to San Antonio this Thursday, April 9 for a district contest vs. St. Mary’s Hall at 8:00PM.
