T-wolves move back to .500 with win over McCallum

AUSTIN, TX - April 5, 2009 - The Cedar Park Timberwolves bounced back from a frustrating loss to Anderson with a 20-10 win vs. McCallum Saturday afternoon.  Ryan Fairclough led the T-wolves with six goals, followed by Chris Asher with four goals and two assists, Stephen Smith with four goals and one assist and Jason Teal with three goals.   Nick Spier had one goal and two assists, Austin Coleman and Tanner Brown had a goal apiece and Gerad Stratton had two goals.

Holden Ilseng led the Timberwolf defense with seven ground balls, followed by Austin Mueller with four, Joel Millikan and Michael Yope with three each and Austin Coleman with two. When asked about the game, Cedar Park Coach Chris Knight said “It was very hot.  The boys were having to cycle in and out of the game to replenish their fluids.   We even cycled the defensemen out of the game so they could load up on water.

Cedar Park moves to 5-5 (3-1)on the season.  They have a stiff test coming on Tuesday when they travel to McNeil HS to take on the division leading Mavericks.
